Porosity is the play between concealing and disclosure. This design exploits porosity as a way of having several independent spaces interlinked as a whole, interior or exterior, one-level or multi-levels.
The terraced event space in the center of the library connects the ground and second floors. This unwalled space blurred the line between distinct services, rendering the library permeable and visually connected, allowing event attendance to be expanded beyond the event room's boundaries.
